  1. Ben repressed the Spires Burn/Release 12", limited to 440 copies on trans. purple. I'm going to grab one at his shop this week, and if anyone wants me to bring a copy to SPb for them next time I'm there, let me know. It's about 360 rubles which is pretty cheap. Write me a private message if you're interested.
  2. .neon... одна из самых охуенных альбомов за последние несколько лет
  3. Also, they don't really sound like Electric Wizard at all, in my opinion.
  4. I think the point isn't that Vitus and Warning sound the same - rather that all these bands kinda fit into the late 70's / early 80's post sabbath stoner doom-rock sound. As opposed to southern rock, gothic doom, etc. I wasn't trying to make a direct comparison.
  5. Can we just talk about music? English or Russian language, I don't care.
  6. Hahahaha. Ok, that's a hillarious translation. What you said was - Distress doesn't care that I have their old drummer in my project - in a really rude way.
  7. Ok. I'm assuming you're trolling since I know Alex, and the rest of the guys casually.
  8. I don't know either. There's no Sergei playing drums for me. Drummer is Ivan ex-Distress.
  9. Maybe, it's kindof all over the place. Some mix of doom, sludge, some faster punk influence. In terms of heaviness, yeah it's probably right up there, but style and songs are in their own direction. Not just chugging on the low e string
  10. Played. I left the band last month. I do have a newer project with some guys in SPb that I started last summer. Hope we'll have a demo ready in the next few months.
  11. Spires Burn/Release, although it was a 12" single LP, not 7". Here's a link to the release on discogs: http://www.discogs.com/Elder-Spires-BurnRe...e/master/442964 That reminds me, I need to have him hold me a copy at the store until I get back.
  12. oh that reminds me of . I'm pretty sure these guys don't play much anymore, but tom still books gigs around, he did our boston gig with antisect.
  13. I don't catch too many hardcore shows except when they're at the democracy center in harvard square, cuz i live nearby, and I'm too lazy to drive to allston or JP for shows. but i've heard of the following bands in the last few years: ! - they used to play at our rehearsal space but i think they broke up. these are a few off the top of my head... there might be many more but i don't get out that much these days to hear about them
  14. I like it. As usual with early material, it could improve in some ways. But the quality of the music and songs support it well. The songs are suprisingly well produced, they really get stuck in my head. Love the riffs. There's one band from my town that impressed me recently, ben from dropdead just released their record on his Armaggedon label. More towards the psych and early prog end of stoner rock, but this record just rips and from what I hear about the last concert, they're killing it live. Too bad i missed that. Here it is Elder
